In Northern California, a typical seller pays a 5%
commission. For a $600,000 house, that comes to
$30,000, with $15,000 going to the listing agent and $15,000
going to the buyer's agent.
We
think $15,000 for a listing agent is too much. Our fee
for a six-month listing is just $6,000 for homes that sell
for less than $1,000,000, and $7,500 for homes that sell for
$1,000,000 or more. This fee is payable only if escrow
closes successfully, and does not include the buyer's
agent's commission.
Here's another reason to choose us: Most listing
contracts allow the listing agent to capture the buyer's
agent's commission if the seller finds his own buyer.
Our contract is different. If you find a buyer on your
own, we'll waive the buyer's agent's commission.
If the buyer wants representation, we'll provide it for just
$2,500.
